Today is one of those days, you know, the kind when you finish your paper with time to spare because you bs-ed it and then you proceed to bash yourself in the nose with your laptop? No?

Junior Prom is tomorrow! Gasp!

Which means I have no time to procrastinate studying for my test! Which means I will proceed to procrastinate studying for my test!

11 Assuming that all things come to an end…how do you think humans will go extinct?

Humans will be going along with their normal business, and things will start to change, signs will appear to those who know to look for them, and then one day BAM.

12 How are you feeling about kids these days?
I think they're pretty flipping awesome, and being one myself doesn't stop me from wanting to have one and then doing everything right. Eh, Mother?

13 (- In this space, compose your own question, and answer it -)
Why don't people like things that are awesome, like John Green books, Glee, or Neil Patrick Harris?

Well, Rachel, it is because either A) people do not know about them, and it is your job to introduce them to life changing awesomeness, B) they are stupid, C) they have bad taste and do not deserve the awesomeness! (well you gave them a chance, anyway!)

14 Ambrozzo tastes better than anything else, what does ambrozzo taste like?
Ambrozzo tastes like crème brûlée, vanilla, caramel, sweet and light like heaven, and it just makes you hum as you slowly savor it.

15 If you were a cliché, what cliché would you be?
The nerdy girl who gets hot at the end of movie by taking off her glasses and the guy realizes that she was the one all along? Is that too shallow on the guy's part? The nerdy girl who is best friends with cute guy who doesn't realize that they are awesome together until it's too late and then the girl gets a guy who isn't good for her, and she realizes that the cute guy best friend was stupid but still deserves a second chance. :)

16 What is your least favorite part of any given day?
Waking up at 6:22 in the morning and going back to bed until 6:28, all the while listening to parents yell at me to get up and go to school. It is just the worst feeling the world.

17 Do you enjoy science fiction?
I truthfully have not read very much of it, so I can't really say?

More later! Don't forget to be awesome and put stuff on your head because it makes everything better!

History time, aka more ninja procrastination:

18 Cheese or Chocolate?

Umm, this is like Sophie's Choice! So I fancy myself as at least half Italian, or honorary Italian,  for my love of bread, pasta, cheese, and pizza have to amount to something, right? But I mean, chocolate is just chocolate.. This is craziness! Uh, CHEESE!

19 Where would you live if you could live anywhere?
New York City, because it's where all the awesome people are.

20 What was your first concert?
I want to say, MercyMe . . . yeap.

21 If you could start a business that would be instantly successful, what kind of business would it be?
Um, a business where when you have a problem/dream, you get the person who you need to solve the problem/make the dream come true, right away, and if a person needs you because you're the expert/qualified, you're found right away. It'd be like Google and Craig's List on crack.

22 Invisibility or Time Travel?
Blub, Time travel, but only if I could go back in time with all of my memories and knowledge of right now, as in having the wisdom of a 17 year old in the year 2010, and if I can undo stuff that I mess up that could affect the future! I think I'd go back to the 90's as a teen, back when the SATs weren't as important, college acceptance wasn't as competitive, people could leave their doors unlocked because there wasn't as much crime, and awesome bands like Train were famous and rocking.

But then again, Invisibility would be pretty fugging awesome...

23 What’s wrong with the world?
People don't learn from their mistakes fast enough! You would think that after centuries of human experience, much of which has been recorded quite competently by authors from all backgrounds, people would be able to stop making mistakes like wars, be able to figure out love and what to do, how to get along with people like family and in laws, how to be funny, how to not be awkward, know what to say and when to say it. But that's just the human condition I suppose, we are doomed to make mistakes that our forefathers made before us, and our great great grandchildren will one day make. It's a part of being a human, it's the human experience, but does it have to be so damn destructive? (wars, not boring people)

So much homework, so little time, why not use it for a little procrastination.

The following questions that inspired me to answer are from Hank Green's annual family survey, Mr. John Green's brother. (and though I am not part of his family, the questions warranted answers!) But I won't answer them all today, and if the questions don't make sense, just ask in the comments!

How long have you known Hank and Katherine?
Hmm, not very long, about a week.

QUESTION EIGHT! WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM US?!
More videos!

Question nine, what are you doing? Please be specific as possible because we actually all want to know.
I am studying, as I am a student, but more realistically, I am try to get through life by not forgetting to be awesome, and sometimes studying.

Question ten, how much longer do you think you'll be doing it?
Probably forever until I graduate grad school, but I hope I'll be living life awesomely for some more years to come.

Question eleven, why are you doing it?
Because living awesomely is well, self evident, and fulfilling, because I live under my parents' house and they force me to study, even though I sometimes like learning, not like this.

Question twelve, what do you want to be doing?
I want to be a psychologist and learn more about the human mind and how it works and why we do the things we do and more. I want to fight using all of my nerd powers for things I care about like the planet and solving homelessness.

Question thirteen, what is next in your life?
I hope college, independence, MORE PURPOSE, new people, more decisions, more responsibility.

Question fourteen, how you doin'?
Meh at the moment, but thanks for asking :)
Question fifteen, what's the best book you've read this year?
Tie between, Looking for Alaska, An Abundance of Katherines, and Freakonomics

Question sixteen, describe a perfect day.
A perfect day is one where I do something that matters, where something I did turned out better than I thought, where I don't argue with someone, where nothing goes wrong the whole day, where I do something simple, like sledding, where I sip some hot drink that warms me all the way from my head to my toes, where I cook something that I just whipped up and it tastes great, where I laugh so hard that I smile every time I think about it during the day, where I learn something new or fascinating, where I get to share something that matters and people listen, where I find someone who cares about something that I care about and we have this important thing in common, where I have all of these, or some combination of these, or one of these, but I am happy. A perfect day is one where I am with someone who makes me nothing but happy.

35 days before, 41 days after

new url ! (:

So I was at the top of the mornin' as I found at I got a 97 on my physics test!
(note to self: create an original, rachel-esque happy dance)

It was just a good day, no English today because of an absent teacher, not that I have anything against English, just that no class is better than any class at all. I am writing this at the choir concert, as we speak, isn't portable technology great?

Well, this is really social hour, I want to start talking about stuff that matters, stuff I care about and want you out there (are you out there?) to start caring about too!

NUMBER ONE.
John Green books. ALSO THE PERSON, John Green.
Go read them like crazy, you won't regret it, although I suppose nothing is universally appealing, with something so awesome, it worth taking the risk, and if you don't like it, ehh, you don't belong in the fan family of the nerdfighters!

NUMBER ONE POINT ONE.
nerdfighting.
more on that later, back to the choir concert?!

side note number one.
things i have due this week are as followed
1 spanish presentation
2 theory of knowledge essay
3 econ commentary
4 lit presentation
5 math test
6 historical investigation

let's not forget to be awesome guys, that's the only way I'll get through this week! *(that and the new desk from Ikea that I just got, aka the same desk I've had since I was 5 years old, just a new version because the old one had like painting chipping off and stuff)

*Side note number two

Side note number three.
my hands still smell like onion from when we were chopping onions for french onion soup in french cuisines, about 10 hours ago.

Side note number four.
calculating gross domestic product and national income in macroeconomics has led me to the following conclusion: never ever ever become an economist or deal with the study of the economy in any way shape or form ever ever ever ever, I don't have enough ever's memorized*

*Brian Regan reference.

38 before, 38 days after (Roses first thing on a rainy friday morning)

Today is one of the best days that I've had in a long time :)

Starting off with the fact that I was asked to Senior Prom with a dozen roses and an iced caramel latte from Dunkin Donuts (I don't know which was more thoughtful :), to which I replied yes!

Then my day just got better from there,
Math class was amazing as always, more so with our impromptu field trip,
flipped my first french crepe and made/ate a beautiful one,
had two absent teachers,
the rain turned into sunshine, and it is currently a beautiful 79 degrees outside.

Didn't I tell you life was good?

42 days before, 34 days after

So actually, a lot of things have happened and are happening in my life right now,
and because this blog isn't exactly private, I don't want to trumpet all of my personal
problems to the great unknown, but I will say that I need this place to write about the
times when I am happy, to remind myself of when life is good and that it can be, again.

That is how we go on.

Small cold, sore ish throat, drinking lots of jasmine tea and realizing that this year has gone by so very fast.

Things to look forward to ?

1 Junior Prom (in 10 days, and I haven't gotten a dress yet?!)
2 Choir Concert (in 7 days)
3 Prefrosh Picnic (Earthknights recruiting, good foood, 5 days)
4 Field Day (37 days, RED DOMINATION 2010)
5 Last Day of School/Paraguay, (42 days and counting)

Also, in one week's time, I will be moving my blog to werdnerdd.blogspot.com (same blog :)

Be sure to bookmark the new address!
